Fireweed - Editorial Photoshoot
Art Direction & Editorial Design | Published on Vogue Italia’s Website
Fireweed is a conceptual editorial photoshoot inspired by the vibrant wildflower that flourishes along the roadsides of Canada, even in challenging environments such as burned forests. The project explores themes of resilience, individuality, and finding beauty in unexpected places, drawing a parallel between the flower’s ability to thrive in difficult circumstances and the human experience of embracing what makes
us different.
us different.
Through a collaborative creative process, the concept was brought to life through art direction, photography, styling, and beauty, resulting in an editorial story that celebrates natural beauty, strength, and self-expression. Published on Vogue Italia’s website, the project translates this concept into a visual narrative grounded in the relationship between the subject, the surrounding landscape, and the symbolism of the fireweed flower.
About Design
The art direction was guided by the contrast between the flower’s vivid color and the natural landscape, creating a visual story that feels organic, expressive, and quietly powerful. Working with the creative team, I helped shape the visual narrative, bringing the concept to life through the relationship between the styling, setting, and photographic imagery.
The editorial layout was designed to complement the photography, balancing an expressive typographic treatment with clean composition and intentional image placement. A restrained layout allows the imagery to take center stage, while the typography and supporting text reinforce the story’s themes of resilience, individuality, and beauty beyond convention. The result is an editorial piece that connects a natural phenomenon to a broader human narrative, using art direction and visual storytelling to communicate a concept that extends beyond the imagery itself.

Retroistic Wanderer - Digital Calendar
Art Direction & Editorial Design | Published on TheImpression.com
Retroistic Wanderer is a conceptual digital calendar exploring the relationship between travel, self-discovery, and the evolving ways we experience the world. Developed for publication on The Impression, the project imagines a future shaped by global exploration and digital connection, while emphasizing the importance of introspection, human connection, and finding meaning beyond the distractions of
modern life.
modern life.
Bringing together a collaborative creative team, the project translated this concept into a cohesive visual narrative through art direction, photography, styling, and editorial design. The resulting imagery and layouts move between the physical and imagined worlds, transforming a functional calendar format into an expressive editorial experience.
About Design
The art direction draws on the tension between futuristic exploration and a nostalgic, almost otherworldly aesthetic. Working collaboratively with the creative team, I helped shape the visual direction through photography selection and the integration of imagery, styling, and design to establish a distinctive mood throughout the calendar.
The design pairs expressive typography with restrained layouts, integrating the calendar grid into the imagery rather than treating it as a separate functional element. Each month features its own visual composition while maintaining a consistent design language through typography, color, and placement. The result is a digital editorial piece that balances functionality with visual storytelling, inviting the viewer to consider travel not only as a journey across the world, but also as a journey inward.
